I loved this book! I thought it was one of the best of the series. Harry, Ron and Hermione are off to find the Horcruxes. This book was so exciting. The battles, the hallows and the unexpected heroes: Neville, Dobby and Mrs. Weasley. The deaths of many of the characters very sad indeed. Great, great ending to this wonderful series.

Beyond Belief10/10

 Beyond Belief
Author: Josh Hamilton
Genre: Biography and Memoirs
Josh Hamilton is the centerfielder for the Texas Rangers baseball team. In this book, he speaks candidly about his addiction to cocaine and crack. He was suspended from Major League Baseball and everyone abandoned him. Except his grandmother. He turned to God and not only did he get clean but returned to baseball to be the star of the 2008 Home Run Derby. The first few chapters were a little cheesy but then it was just engrossing. I cried reading about what he went through and what his family went through. Great book. Highly recommended.

Persuasion10/10

 Persuasion
Author: Jane Austen
Genre: Classics
I loved this book! Twenty-seven year old Anne Elliott is the heroine of this book. Eight years before the story begins, Anne is attached to a young naval officer,Fredrick Wentworth. Anne is persuaded by her family friend, Lady Russell to break it off because Anne was too young and Wentworth was unworthy. Anne regrets it. Later when Fredrick returns a weathly naval officer, it turns out his sister and her husband rent Anne's family home and they are thrown together in the same social circle. It all culminates with a very touching note written by Captain Wentworth to Anne where he pours out his love to her. Excellent book. Highly recommended.

Multiple Blessings10/10

 Multiple Blessings
Author: Kate Gosselin
Genre: Biography and Memoirs
I really enjoyed this book. It's the story of the Gosselin family. They are the family from the Jon and Kate plus 8 TV show on TLC. For those of you who don't watch the show, Jon and Kate are the parents of twins and sextuplets. The show is very cute. In the book, Kate narrates a very moving, frank and at times heart-wrenching story of her marriage to Jon, their devastation when they found out Kate couldn't ovulate. She tells of painful injections at a fertility clinic, her joy at conceiving and bringing twin girls into the world. Then her yearning to have another child, struggling with a decision to adopt a bi-racial child. Then the story of enduring more painful shots only to discover she became pregnant with sextuplets. She was bedridden for most of the pregnancy and Jon losing his job in the middle of the pregnancy. They often were on the verge of depresssion but always turned to God and never lost faith. And their faith was rewarded by 8 heathly children. The book is well-written. It often brought me to tears and at other times made me chuckle. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Very inspiring.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn10/10

 A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Author: Betty Smith
Genre: Classics
This book is a masterpiece. It's the coming of age story of Francie Nolan who grows up in Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Her family is a poor German-Irish family. Francie's mother is the strong level-headed parent while her father is beloved by all but is also an alcoholic. They endure great poverty, cruelty and hardship but it's just a way of life there and it is accepted. The book is filled with colorful characters and it is a fantastic read. I loved it.
