I was really looking forward to reading this graphic novel after reading the beautiful written and illustrated 'Stardust'. This series, has one numerous awards and is apparently regarded as one of the best 'graphic novel series' of the `90's. Perhaps I'm not the target demographic of graphic novels, but I found the story distasteful and difficult to read and the illustrations were technically well done but awful to look at.
This was a dark, angry and often gruesome story that made me read a few other books while trying to make my way through this short book.
