It is my favorite book ever. Every time I read it it just brightens my heart and makes me smile that yes, there is always hope for a better life and it is never too late to make it happen. The movie is amazing as well.
A story about a man who has always been "a loser", always felt "different". The style of writing is often interesting/different/choppy - eg. "Quoyle saw Bunny. Picked her up." The story itself is pretty interesting as are the characters but I found it got a bit long - on the upside it seemed more "real" because there was no big lightning flash of insight and everything coming together at the end. It certainly has clever moments, as well as humourous ones (the main character becomes a newspaper reporter and starts to see events in his life as headlines, "man walks across parking lot at moderate pace").
This book is worth giving a try to see how you find it.
